It is a common search: paracord grab handles Bunnings, or Supercheap, or Repco, or 4WD Supacentre. It makes sense. If you can grab them on the way home, why wait for a parcel? Here is what you will and will not find at the big chains, based on what we hear from customers who have already looked.
What the chains stock
Bunnings sells paracord by the roll and the odd generic tie down strap, but not finished braided grab handles. The auto chains sell rigid aftermarket handles in black or silver, roof rack and roll bar straps, and universal grab straps that loop around a bar. Ranges change by store and by season, so it is always worth a look if you are passing, but at the time of writing none of the national chains carry hand braided paracord grab handles in a range of colours and lengths, and none offer washer colour matching or custom sizes. Why not?
Because a paracord grab handle is a made to order product. Each one is braided by hand to a length, in a colour combination, and the number of possible combinations runs into the hundreds. That does not fit on a chain store peg. It fits a small maker with a workbench and a website. That is the whole reason a business like ours exists.

What to check before you buy from anyone
Genuine 550 cord, not bargain bin cord that stretches and fades. Hand tied braid, tight enough that it does not go spongy. Loops sized to your fixings. A length that matches your mounts: centre of hole to centre of hole plus four to five centimetres (our measuring guide covers it). Screw mounted handle points on your vehicle, or nut inserts fitted first if yours are clips. And someone you can message with your vehicle and measurement who will tell you what to order.

You can pick up cord and rigid handles at the chains. For finished paracord grab handles in your colours and your size, order from a maker.
